This photograph captures a particular place, where the peasants were maintaining the gardens and the interior of the monastery. Hubert Barre took this image of Cyprien, a monk, who knows the place well. He comes regularly to this secret place, to contemplate, to adore, but also to observe this house: a monastic enclosure, an environment of prayer, reserved for God and the monks. Everything has its meaning, the light on the window, the staircase, the window frame, the shadow of the monk in the light of the light, the floor, the volume of the room, and finally the framing, which allows the objects to appear in proportion.
