The alien, sieve in hand, takes on the appearance of a clumsy guru of interstellar zapping-culture. The scene, both ridiculous and fascinating, is based on a powerful game of discrepancy: this alien, capable of mastering interstellar travel, finds himself reduced to tinkering with a derisory household object in an attempt to access a locked media universe. The humour is born from this total absurdity, between ultra-technology confronted with the most basic D system, the almost religious fervour in the face of the television stream and the cosmic solitude of a spectator deprived of the consumption he covets.
