Octopuss

Ninth panel of the series, it represents the allegory of the Psyche in prey to its unanswered questions. The sprawling interlacing of the cephalopod ( cephal=brain=psychia ) is set with the "Young girl" illustrating the complex assault of the mind searching in vain for answers to existential questions: Death, the irremediable answer to Life's objection. The suction cups, those fixed, obsessive and heady ideas that chain the mind like so many anguishes flouting any possible judgment!
