Alexandre Pierre Albert, passionate about art history and photography, devoted his studies to deepening these two fields. His career began as a freelance reporter, mainly in the various republics of the former USSR, where he also collaborated with various news agencies. Back in Switzerland, Alexandre enriched his career by working with the School of Architecture of the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne and the International Tunnelling Association. At the same time, he founded Studio No³ (nocube) in Vevey, where he continues to practice his art. Specialising in architectural photography, Alexandre Pierre Albert also devotes part of his time to freer forms of expression, through writing and images. His stagings, imbued with irony and offbeatness, are presented as works of fiction. They often feature near-perfect women, whose perfection is subtly betrayed by elements such as abused flowers or abandoned factories. For his various series, Alexandre uses various techniques, ranging from classic analogue photography to digital photography, not to mention the sometimes deliberately imperfect treatment of Polaroids. His work reflects a continuous exploration of the possibilities offered by photography, always with a personal and distinctive touch.
