Photographs captured in Slovenia, in a small fishing village on the Adriatic Sea, make up the Luna Park series. In this series, I focused on the opposition between the stark sadness of the place and the nocturnal magic of Luna Park, revealing the strange harmony emanating from these rides set up on a vacant lot, surrounded by ruined buildings and an old factory chimney. Through these images, I depict two radically different atmospheres to bring them to a point of balance. During the day, Luna Park appears abandoned, with its rides partly dismantled or in poor condition. But at nightfall, the park wakes up, and the magic happens. In my childhood in Bergerac, I spent hours cutting out advertising images, collecting them preciously in a photo holder. Very early on, I was fascinated by the power of the image, capable of conveying profound messages and provoking intense emotions. The world of advertising bewitched me, and over the years, my interest turned to the subtle influence that a simple image can exert on our behaviors and habits. Today, in my photographic work, I seek to transcend reality to offer the viewer a new and surprising vision. Each photo is an invitation to see beyond the visible. I pay meticulous attention to framing, composition, lighting and narration. My goal is to capture the essence of a moment and transform it into a palpable emotion. I particularly like images that play on paradoxes, which are at the same time offbeat, mysterious and imbued with humour. These photographs do not just represent reality; They seek to evoke a feeling, to provoke a reaction, to tell a story.
