Water, rock – not even earth, but rock, mineral in its raw state – and sliding over both to give them life, on the first morning of the world. From whence, as far back as I can remember, the Arctic, the Ocean, the emaciated and frigid lands that adjoin it, have always fascinated me. These polar spaces embodied in my eyes the purity of the origins. But this world is now in peril, the ice floe is receding, global warming is forcing it to move too quickly and is suddenly depriving it of its virginity.
