Sewing course for beginners

Learn about different sewing techniques and discover textile materials. Throughout the lessons, you will learn simple retouching, creating your first patterns, sewing your own clothes and creating unique models. You learn to use a sewing machine, an overlock machine, a professional ironing board, in a real sewing workshop in Carouge.

Drawing / Pattern

Together, we will make the first sketches of your creation in order to understand your expectations and preferences. We will be there to advise and guide you while respecting your desires.

Fittings

A fitting will take place during which adjustments will be made. Once this step is finalized, we move on to the creation of the final model.

Cutting / Manufacturing

The garment is adjusted to your measurements. During this step, we do a thorough job to make sure that your garment exactly matches your wishes.

Delivery

Your garment is carefully ironed, put on a hanger or wrapped so that it is preserved during transport. It will be ready to wear as soon as it is received.

Do we need to make an appointment?

Willingly! Whether it’s a fit or a bespoke creation, an appointment is a must to achieve perfection. Some more sophisticated creations require several fitting sessions, thus guaranteeing an impeccable result.

During our first appointment, we are attentive to your creative wishes. Together, we explore your wishes in terms of fit, fabric, colour and design. We will guide you in the creation of a piece, in perfect harmony with your figure and your personality. Then, we meticulously take your measurements.

Do I need to bring a visual of the model I want?

Coming with a visual is optional, you can let your imagination run wild and collaborate with our designer to create your perfect garment from A to Z.

Can I bring my own fabric for my made-to-measure creation?

It is possible to come with your own fabric. However, if you don’t have it, we offer a selection of various materials and can also find the ideal fabric from our prestigious suppliers.

Can you recreate an existing template?

It is quite possible to recreate an existing model identically. We can also improve its fit according to your preferences.

How long does it take to make a garment?

Upon receipt of all the supplies necessary to make your garment, an average delay of 4 weeks is to be expected. This time may vary depending on the complexity and specifics of your order.

How do I look after my made-to-measure room?

Haute couture and custom-made pieces require professional cleaning to preserve their shine. We are at your disposal to advise you on the most appropriate methods for each fabric.
