7 hours of photo lessons

This group photography course deepens many photographic techniques. The practical application will help the participant to organize his urban shots and to finalize his first photo projects. This training can be taken after a beginner photo course or if all the points of the beginner photo course are already acquired. This 7-hour photo course is given in French in the pedestrian centers of Carouge and Geneva. (10am-12pm, one hour break at noon, 1pm-6pm)

Urban Photo Course Program:

  • Approach a neighborhood, highlight the architecture, orient one’s photo project and its images.
  • Prepare your getaway, scouting, anticipate your route.
  • Approaching the public, shooting anonymous people.
  • Complex creations and constructions, understanding visual perception.
  • Build your shots and staging.
  • Technical views and choices.
  • Create a natural light device, take advantage of the architecture of the place to magnify his images.
  • Getting involved: The photographic road trip, the reportage.
  • Study and analysis of the photographs taken.
  • Distribution, copyright, image rights and legislation.
  • Image management and archiving, building your series, your contact sheet.
  • “Digital development” and the use of images for better print rendering.
