Prepare for the prayer

10 years ago, 20 years ago, 30 years ago, 40 years ago, 50 years ago... This monk took his dawn to go to prayer, the same prayer, at the same time but not at the same moment. You can see through this picture, a great wisdom of the monk trying to keep a straight face in front of my camera. There are five dawns on the coat hanger and every decade there is one that disappears with someone who shared my life, who shared my feelings, someone with whom I spoke or did not speak, someone with whom I walked, I walked with a sure step, a solid step. Over the decades, a weaker step requiring the help of my cane. But one thing that doesn't change over the years is the love of God. And the righteousness that can be read on this image is the certainty that God is there, present at each step I take. When I entered this monastic enclosure, I felt at peace, a safe place where nothing could happen to me. Wrapped in a love that will never pass. I came here 10 years ago, 20 years ago, 25 years ago already, and I have always found the same love. Love will never pass, despite the harshness of life, despite despair, despite war.
